A dreamscape, or montage, is created by superimposing two or more images to produce a new fascinating, imaginative and powerful image. There are four types of dreamscapes: composite dreamscapes are a combination of two unrelated images; mirror dreamscapes are made by flipping a copy of an image and superimposing it on the original; surreal dreamscapes combine an in-focus image with an out of-focus image of the same scene; and cross dreamscapes combine a vertical image with a horizontal one to produce a square image. Each of these combinations produce powerful and unexpected results.
